Hows it going everyone. I go by the name Polo. I have been into cichlids for 7 years now. I currently have a 75 gallon aquarium set up that might be over stocked. I have 40 cichlids in there from 1-8 inches. Here’s the run down of the cichlids I have. 4 Champsochromis caeruleus (5-8 inches) 3 Iodotropheus sprengerae (3 inches) 5 Labidochromis caeruleus (1-2 inches) 8 Melanochromis interruptus (2-5 inches) 4 Pseudotropheus socolofi (2-3 inches) 8 Pseudotropheus zebra (2-5 inches) 3 Labeotropheus fuelleborni (2-4 inches) 1 Mloto White Blaze (4 inches) 3 Plecos I have a few additional aquariums which are smaller that I'm going to set up soon to put some cichlids in there. Additional info about myself....I'm 24 years old, recently graduated with a Masters in Business Adminstration. I enjoy video games, comic books, and drinking beers. Anyone want to talk to me online about cichlids my screen name is Kid Polo 5. It was just brought up to me that you might have thought i was being rude to you because i made a sort of negative comment on how many fish you keep in your tank. I hope you dont feel that way, i was just trying to be helpful. I was just pointing out that even when you go for overcrowding as a stategy to stave off aggression you can still over stock (not so much with juvies but when the fish get full adult size) more like a overcrowding situation where the fish dont have as much room and it becomes difficult to keep water clean etc... It is true you can keep severly overstocked fish healthy by over filtration and massive daily water changes , but my personal thought on that is just because a fish is healthy and alive does not mean it is happy and comfortable. I personally overstock all my african tanks but not nearly in the same numbers as you do , so i am a believer in overstocking in general. Anyway, i hope you did not take offense because none was intended.

Thanks everyone for the comments about my fish. Here is a video of my aquarium from 2 days ago. youtube.com/watch?v=avwGzL1cOYIIt's only the coolest video on youtube. By the way the boss fish in my tank is the Melanochromis Interruptus. You can see him around the 30 second area. I had him for almost 6 years now. Hes not the biggest fish in my tank, but he owns everyone including the Malawi Trout which are 6-8 inches.

very nice video, i loved your choice of music.LOL i have to admit your tank did not look as crowded as i thought it would. Maybe i am understocked in mine (72 bowfront). I think my 20 years of new world stocking experiences might have effected my idea of what overstocking is. I used to keep 4 fish in a 75 gallon and one of em was a algea eater lol. I might have to take a survey or poll and see if i am understocked with the fish i have.
