ok heres what my fish have. my oscar and female jack dempsy have lots ot white specks all over there bodys and i think i might be ick. although im not sure at all if it is or not. need some help!

Check the Library you should see some things on how to treat ich but ich/ick is not that bad of a sickness especially for a healthy adult cichlid I would recommend a treatment from jungle to help cure the many ill fish if it spreads anymore after the treatment change 100% of the water and everything should be back to normal after a few days.

yes, you will want to treat for Ich . There is a method that uses salt and raised temps but i cant tell you how to use that one since i dont use it (not because it wont work but simply cause i use the meds). Follow the directions on the bottle if you use a over the counter treatment such as ick cure. Vacume the substrate very well since they will be in the substrate for part of the life cycle. I also recommend that you do a full treatment, take a break for a day or two (use carbon and do water change during this time ) then do a second treatment as a preventative since the fish could look cured but then get re infected from one lone survivor in the substrate etc...
